Treatment Approach

Healing through Connection

Treatment Approach

Welcome to a space for healing, growth, and connection. My mission as a therapist is to support you in becoming the best version of yourself by facilitating reconnection to your inner wisdom. Together, we’ll uncover what lies beneath the layers and defenses that block you, fostering curiosity, awareness, and transformation.

My Philosophy

Mental health is not the absence of problems, but rather the ability to cope with and grow through challenges. My approach is not about “fixing” you. Instead, I focus on providing an experience of self-discovery, skill-building, and empowerment. I believe healing happens in connection. Therapy with me is an intersubjective, relational process that invites authenticity and compassion for yourself and others.

Healing Is an Art and a Science

Good therapy is both an art and a science. It’s about understanding the complexity of being human while embracing the simplicity of being present. I’m deeply passionate about supporting therapists, other healers, and leaders who are navigating the challenges of their own journeys. Together, we can break through barriers, release burdens, and foster a greater capacity for healing and transformation.

If you’re ready to begin this journey, I invite you to contact me. Your healing begins with a single step—let’s take it together.

As your guide, I honor that you are the expert on your life. My role is to offer knowledge, skills, and compassionate inquiry, creating a safe, collaborative space for exploration and healing.

About Treatment

What YouCan Expect

  • We'll Start Where You Are: In working together, we’ll weave understanding the roots of your struggles (the “why”) with taking actionable steps forward (the “what now”).
  • Collaboration with Direction:  You bring lived experience and insight—I bring clinical expertise, guidance, and an active presence in the room. Our work is collaborative, and, I’m also directive when needed, helping guide the process with intention and purpose.
  • Education & Insight:  I integrate psychoeducation to deepen understanding and provide practical tools you can take with you beyond our sessions.
  • Experiential Mindfulness:  From nervous system regulation to present-moment awareness, you’ll engage in mindfulness practices that are both grounding and experiential -  helping you live as a “human being, not a human doing", supporting real-time learning and lasting integration.
  • Empowerment: My ultimate goal is to put myself out of business, empowering your independence—not indefinite therapy. Our work will equip you with flexibility, insight, and resilience to meet life’s challenges with greater ease and less need for ongoing support.

Common Themes in My Work:

While I work with a wide range of concerns, I have extensive experience supporting:

(a.k.a. things you'll hear me say)

  • "And, instead of but."  Language matters.  Two opposites can both be true.
  • "Find fascination with how we roll.” We’ll cultivate curiosity about your patterns—how they serve you, where they get stuck, and what they reveal about your deeper self.
  • "We can't change what's outside our conscious awareness." Be a curious observer and witness yourself with openness, and even a little wonder—because awareness is the first step toward change.
  • “Nothing to do, nothing to fix".  It’s not the problem, it’s our relationship to the problem. Instead of trying to fix or erase what’s hard, we’ll shift how we engage with it, making space for growth and change.
  • “Increase our capacity for discomfort.” Healing isn’t about eliminating struggle but expanding our ability to stay present, be expansive, and remain grounded.
  • "Trust the process". Whatever arises, arises—we don’t have to make sense of it right away. We can let the process unfold in its own time.

  • “What’s happening below the neck.” Your body holds information. We'll turn toward somatic cues as essential parts of healing.
  • “Process over content.” The dynamic of what's occurring, more than the details of any single story.
  • “Knowledge is just information until it’s experienced in the bones.” Lasting change doesn’t come from insight alone; it happens when you feel and embody the shift.
  • “Step back into essence.” Healing isn't about giving you something new, it’s about reconnecting to your inner wisdom.
  • “It's about the meaning we make". The story we tell ourselves determines what’s possible.
  • "This Sh*&t takes time" (quote from previous client).  We come by it honestly and we grow and develop all in good time.
  • “May we be filled with loving-kindness.” Compassion, for self and others.
  • "We're all in it together". – We're all humans on the path, myself included.
